I own a Toyota 4runner 2008 had a problem
with horn not working took it to Toyota dealer they replaced horn then at the dealer my alarm would blast horn when activating or deactivating alarm, So they told me alarm had to be reset took car home same problem took back to dealer next day after having car at dealer all day they told me that my drains on sun roof were clogged and water ran into wiring harness mechanic said harness rusted out and possibly this was what shorted out horn and alarm i told them since i bought the car almost never opened sun roof
also never ever had water in headliner or seats etc.I also owned 2 other Toyota 4runners with sun-roof 1989 2005 never had issues like this one and this car is only 3 years old 20,0000 miles My warranty expired 2 weeks ago i just took it to dealer this past week I think they are trying to make me pay for something that is not my fault only because i am out of warranty Problem started with horn not working but alarm flashed on off lights no problem until dealer replaced horn. Please if someone can give advise it would be greatly appreciated
