Dealership smashed my 4R!

Haha, whats wrong with Qdoba???

Nut'n, just personal preference. :)

I'm liking the 1" lift a lot. It is more subtle than I initially thought and there is still a slight rake to the car.

I'm still waiting on my $200 credit in the mail....

it feels different when someone else is the cause of your care getting smashed and not you

Exactly, that is what pissed me off the most. But unfortunately, things like this happen.

Glad it worked it for you, I've had issues with Stevinson Toyota, which is why I use Burt Toyota. I used to have an 07 Camry V6 that had the tranny recall and they screwed up the install, the replaced tranny never worked quite as smooth as the original, they never got it to work correctly either.

Then I had a terrible experience with a salesman when I wanted to buy a 4Runner, I was so pissed I almost gave up on Toyota's and thought about going across the street to the Dodge dealership and getting a 2500 Ram MegaCab with 6.7L Cummins Diesel.

Don't get me started on their sales people. That's why I bought my 4R at Automotive Avenues in Lakewood. Auto Aves brought over several 4R's from Burt for me to test drive. Never any preasure. Auto Aves gets fleet pricing through Burt so I got what I considered to be a pretty good deal on a brand new 4R. Plus, I was able to tell them exactly what I wanted as far as model, options, color, etc. and I didn't have to haggle for it. Plus, they gave me great trade-in value for my '00 GC.

Yeah I don't think their sales people know what "Customer Service" means.

I use HMBrown as I work for Lockheed Martin and we get a discount through them. I bought my Camry through HMBrown and it worked out great, similar to your experience I specfied the color, options etc and I had the car I wanted for a great price. But I got lucky with the 4Runner, I saw it sitting at Phil Long's Saturn right down the street from where I live and pretty much stole it.

if you need help spending it let me know.

Ha, will do! Funny thing is I can't think of much I need or want right now. I just replaced my engine and cabin air filter. I have 3 Toyota oil filters which will last me another year and I have new wiper blades that I'm waiting to throw on. Now that I have my spacer lift in the front, I can't think of much else I want to do right now. Maybe an iPod integration kit if I can buy it through Toyota???

get the new cruiser

wow 5 pages of posts in a month this rankled a few folks... I would be changing rental cars every few days myself..

go through the whole fleet he he he

you got them at your mercy....

sorry to hear about what has happened- but you seem to have adopted a good attitude about it. This will be one of those grandkid stories....

I went into the dealership today to have them do the Auxiliary line TSB for my stereo. Instead of fixing my car, they did this!....

:bash: :bash: :bash:

One of their techs backed my 4R into a hydraulic lift arm and smashed the hell out of my bumper and bent the bottom left corner of my rear lift hatch. I'm so pissed off! I know accidents happen, but this is precisely why I don't have anyone work on my car. Unfortunately, warranty work is sometimes unavoidable.

They are going to get my car fixed, and I know that body shops do good work, but my car is barely a year old and didn't have a scratch on it. I hope it looks as good as new when they're done. We'll see....

Now I'm rock'n a Prius until I get my 4R back. At least I'll get good gas mileage. :(

Why so upset? They made a mistake and are willing to admit it and fix it. Goodness! This kind of attitude is what makes it difficult for everyone. After a couple encounters with bad attitudes they just want to avoid the conflict and deny their wrong. They should have been shown appreciation instead of disdain at this point for their honesty and willingness to correct the problem. That way the are more likely in the future to offer the customer a friendly open and honest service. Get a grip!

this was before he did the monster lift. when he just had the toytec spacer installed.

That totally sucks. Hope the repairs come out well.

You'd be surprised at how much crap like this happens at the dealer. Working at one sure makes you scared to bring your cars in.

HAHA, funny thing is I backed an ES300 into an LS400 that was on a lift on a Saturday afternoon after doing the brakes on it... We were just about to leave and I was dead tired,

this was back in like 99 when i worked for Lexus of Sac...

and then GIG let me work on his Runner and put his lift on! after this whole thing went down! LOL go figure!
