Hey guys, ive been on here a little over a year, and havent posted a lot, like a build thread. haha my bad. Anyways after i did my body lift, i didnt see the point in relocating the front bumper as i would be changing it anyways. So since im fortunate to have the tools and equipment to make my own stuff i thought id take on making a front bumper for myself since i couldnt afford a professional one. It took me arounf 3 weeks to do but not every day or full days of work. LOTS of grinding and welding!

So heres what i was left with after my Toytec ultimate suspension lift and 2" body lift. So i had to do something with the front end.

The face of the bumper is made with 2X6" hollow steel, the top plate is made out of 1/4" sheet steel and the hoops are made out of 1.5" galvanized pipes that i had. There is also some other bracing i did.

Test fitting some cut pieces:

After testing everything to fit i welded it togeather, grinded the edges and added some extra bracing to reinforce the shackle points.

Test fitting everything after it was all welded togeather. Trying to figure out how much to cut the top plate in order to clear the condensor parts and fender brackets

After welding on the top plate and bending and cutting the tubes for the "hoops"

Almost Done! Primed and temporarily put on. There was a trail in Arbeg Canada that i had to go test it out on with some other trucks so i was too excited to paint it and have to leave it off lol.

Final product: I painted it with Duplicolor Bedliner after having it recomended from a friend who did the bumper on his R50 with it.

Looks good man! The only thing I would suggest is maybe cut the edge of the bumper so that it flows more with the fender opening???

What size shackles are those? If not 3/4" inch then I'd get some atleast that big.

better then what most of us can do...how about makind a custom skid plate too?
