this event is family and 2wd friendly and will be more of an exploration style expedition! friends, family with kids are definitely welcomed.

Too bad I'm on the opposite side of the US otherwise I'd be there. Sounds like fun. Take lots of pics and make me jealous

Sorry I missed you guys. I was there one day last week. Did a quick drive over from Vegas to Death Valley Junction. Took the side trip up to Dante's View (the view was worth it) on the way to Furnace Creek. Then on to Stovepipe Wells before turning around and heading south. The previously washed out road to Badwater is rebuilt (gravel) and Artist's Pallete appeared open (didn't go in myself.) Headed south out of the valley via Shoshone.
Totally different scenery than I am used to in the north. I've seen desert before but first time I've seen salt flats. Good all around "little" drive (9 hrs.)

Wow...that looks great...we don't get those kinds of views in flatland Texas!

BTW, crosslinking is OK...most members have already made up their mind when they sign on. It's no secret that each forum caters to a slightly different crowd.

Very cool to hear your view on this Thai.

I often concern myself over cross posting but then I think I am not disadvantaging anyone as I cross post to all the forums I associate only to give the whole "market" (forum users) as much interesting information and help as possible.

It would be inappropriate if people were cross posting just to pull people away from a particular forum.

(just wish you guys would let me change my username to "expat" so its consistant across all the forums. The 04Runner username also gets confused with so many other similar usernames I hate it...oh well: )
