If any of you interested I just got done doing a 3 Day Mojave Trail Run we ran it from east to west starting in Laughlin on the Colorado River and drove the entire Mojave ending in Barstow.
We already have are next run set in stone including trails,camp destinations,time frames,site seeing locations such as Barker Ranch (Charles Manson Ranch hideout where he was caught) and the best possible photo opportunities for scenic backdrops, trails from easy to hard and all have exit points if you choose to go around it and adventure around til the group is done and rally out again.
Targeted Trails are
Titus Canyon, Mengal Pass, Rhyolite Ghost Town, Goler Wash, Marble Canyon, Stovepipe wells, and Darwin Falls
Camp spots (as of now)
Warm Springs Camp and Marble canyon camp

So all of the hard part is done for you and dont even have to think, just drive and have fun.
To get an idea of what to expect the Expedition Raptors have a couple videos posted of their Death Valley Run they recently did and almost the same run were are gonna do.

But this time its a 3 Day Death Valley Nov 20-23
This is the real deal My buddy Craig (N2Deep) over on TundraTalk.net is running it and heading it all the detailed info is there he even posted last week he was thinking of opening it up for 4Runners here on T4R to roll along, I said "don't worry we'll take it easy on you boys with your oversized toys" he said "I need to take my meds" so heres your official invite and after us he's opening it up the the Raptor Crew just to fill spots since your allowed up to 20 vehicles ...that's if we don't bring a large representation to the run. Alot of you say how you wanna do these kind of runs and we talk about it get all pumped up and it just stops there, well heres a great opportunity for one hell of a trip. It's not just talk now.

The 24th is just a bonus day for those who wanna stay an extra day or may not have gotten out for the run til sat or sun and want to explore a couple canyons and do some hiking and theres few guys are staying to do so.

From here on T4R it's myself and another member [MENTION=128841]Spenny[/MENTION] going so far if you wanna roll just let me know and also would be beneficial to set up an account over on tundra talk to see all info about this run.lt's gonna be epic

Edit: now have 3 other members onboard for this run and all the tundra guys from tundratalk which are stoked to see all these 4Runners in on this trip!! Also 1 Tacoma...still room and a lil time left to get in on this trip!!

I would love to do this but my last Marine Corps ball is on the 21st. Plus in less than 7 days I gave to drive 2k miles in my beloved t4r to Kentucky.

Sounds like a cool trip. I'd like to know more.
 
If it started on the 24th, I'd so be in because I have that entire week off. I'm really starting to be annoyed by my lack of availability on Sundays.

First I'd like to say thank you.

Now back to your issue, whats the point of a ball if you don't even know how to dance brotha? And once you,ve been to one ball you've been to them all.

7 day and 2k there just miles then come back do death valley and after you'll be ready for your next oil change.

Lol..j/k can't dispute Military duties, have fun brotha.

I don't think you can B, at least not when I tried..I edited the post and added trails and camp destinations

Love it!

No i cant dance and i probably will never learn unless the wife forces it on me. I have been to many balls but this one is for the guys. They're all trained up but I'm the one who got them there. It wouldn't be right to dip out on them like that.

Well swap your days off for friday,sat and sun and go back to work wed,thur and fri. or swap with someone you work with. I can also email or call your boss not a problem what are friends for..lol
 
Hahah. It's not a work issue, it's a visitation issue. I have full custody of my son, but my ex gets every Sunday. She's not very flexible on changing days so full weekends out have become impossible. I mean, I could force the issue, but it's just easier not to.

I can understand that all to well, brotha.
well as thoughts of this trip start weighing heavily on your mind and you decide to go against the grain this one time you know theres a spot for you if you do so.
 
We're working towards every other weekends right now so I'll get weekends back eventually, but she has a slew of things to complete before I trust her to have him that long.

Funny thing is, since I have that entire week off and we don't really do a family thing for Thanksgiving, I was actually thinking about taking the boy out to DV for a day or two then jamming up the 395 into Kern to take him to see his Grandfather by Lake Isabella for a day or two before heading home. Still might, I just need to figure out whether I can afford that long of a trip or not.
 
Count me in ! I've backpacked Death Valley a few times and it was great. I know it would be much better in a 4x4. With a BIG El Nino coming this year we may want to bring a raft or a canoe, just in case we get any flash flooding. :lol:

Awesome brotha..I will add you to the list.
Well I've gotta 10 person inflatable raft I use for the river regatta float in laughlin,and in AZ. We can all jump on that and with all of our onboard air we can have up in mins of flash flood warning, lol. Good o'l El Nino don't they say this every single year and we haven't seen s***!!
