Nice! I love BFG AT KO tires...best combination of on-road and off-road traction & toughness.

Why did you remove the side emblems?? I assume personal preference.

Sweet! I am looking at those or Michelin LTX M/S. Did you have trouble with the spare fitting? Did you replace the spare with a 265/70? I like the cladding!

The only rubbing at all noted is if backing over a larger object with the wheel turned full... the front wheel will lightly touch.

Thai, I am not sure of which emblems you are talking about... am I missing something? I did not remove anything as of yet. Maybe when I get the side and front views done (tomarrow hopefully) the emblems will show.

And as for the spare, Sac State (cool name), it fit without any problem. No rubbing, no nadda, and the hitch/reciever still works just fine. The hitch doesn't touch the tire when installed. (I will try to take some pic's of that too.

I agree, I love the cladding... had to have it sent to me this way. BUT, I can not figure out how to get the small scratches out of it from the scrub brush while out on the trail. Waxing takes care of the paint... but that darn cladding loves the rugged look.

Oh, the side emblem ("SportEdition 4wd") is ONLY on the driver's side?? Never notice that before.

Greenhorne: Where were these shots taken? Truckee, Foresthill area? Thanks for the info, I am replacing my tires soon and have been looking at the different MFG's, but was wary of the bigger size for the spare (will it fit) and room in the wheel well. I wouldn't be opposed to staying with the 265/65 size, but there are no reputable tire companies that make an aggressive lug in that size, everything is one size larger at 265/70. Post those side profile shots when you get a spare chance.

BTW...Like the handle do ya? It is also on my vanity plate. Not too many CSUS grads in the RTP area of North Carolina. Class of '89. I miss the Foresthill area for wheeling. Great place to take your rig, essentially unlimited trails and off road opportunities.

I picked up a few scratches and trail marks. I am not sure how to repair the cladding. I notice that the color of the cladding below the grey surface is a lighter shade of grey, so unfortunately I cannot just 'wax' over it and touch up paint is out of the question. The cladding is holding up extremely well.

Will be very interested in your experience if you go with 265/70-17. They give you many more options than 265/65-17 but I want to be darned sure that they have no problems in the wheel wells and in the spare. Otherwise, for the cost of 5 tires, the Finance Minister (wife) will not be happy.

My wife's Subie Forester will need new tires before me, so it will be impossible to get mine before hers. We both have an '03 model, so I better start lobbying.

I can assure you that with the BFG T/A KO 265/70/17 and the first generation tow package/hitch, there is NO problem with the spare fitting with or without the hitch in place.
