Decent non-OEM / aftermarket parts?

Hey Guys (and possibly gals?),

Picked up an 01 SR5 as my new trail / winter rig, looking at doing a front suspension refresh since it has 180k. Thinking lower ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar end links.

I see crappo kits online for $86 for everything, and the local NAPA has a bunch of cheap stuff as well. But reading through the threads here, it sounds like all of these are asking for trouble.

In all of your experiences, is there any non-OEM supplier that isn't crap? Just pains me to pay $400 for 2 new 'yota LBJs without checking with you first.

Two new Toyota OEM lbj's should never cost 400 bucks. You can find them online, even Amazon, for about 100 bucks a piece.

Sway bar end links can be aftermarket, some are junk some are ok. Mine are aftermarket and they are holding up so far, can't remember the brand but they were "medium" quality on Rock auto, not the most expensive but not the cheapest ones.

I've been running a Duralast gold (autozone) tie rod end for a year and half and it's holding up great.

LBJ's must be OEM, end of story.

The price on the LBJs was quoted from the local stealership, $189 a piece. I've seen a lot of "OEM" offerings online but dont know who to trust. Any decent site you would recommend?

Almost half the price there. I got mine from Camelback roughly 6 months ago for $180 shipped for both with bolts.

The LBJ's from amazon that are listed above are the same ones I ordered 2 weeks ago, when they were even lower price than that. One was $95 one was $98 but the price has gone up a little.

I can verify those are OEM Toyota LBJ's and had them installed a week ago by a Toyota technician friend

I bought mine from Amazon (like the links I provided) and they are 100% OEM.

There are a bunch of other online sites like Camelback, Olathe etc that will be cheap also.

My local stealership is a joke also....

LBJ's were around $88ea from Camelback, free shipping on orders over $150.
No need to go non-OEM when you can find great prices online.
