Schooler,

now that is a hell of an idea. instant and constant heat. Real good idea.

Can you get waterproof sterno cups?

I think they are waterproof. I don't like the idea of flammable chemicals in the truck at all times so I just keep a few books of matches. Sterno is supposed to be kept between 40 - 120 deg F. If you really need something to start a fire, a magnesium fire starter is safer.

Toilet paper or Kleenex
Fire Extinguisher

You have to also edit the list for where you are. Being in a major metropolitan area, the chances of getting stuck for days is almost impossible. I usually pack emergency stuff if I travel really far.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm duckt tape!!!!

Bobby, well i am going to boston this weekend, i really don't have the rig outfitted with stuff (although not a long drive, i like to be prepared)

And plus i am just getting it ready for winter time (although a little while away) Always better to be safe than sorry... Ya know

When in doubt, Duct tape! :D

I've always had a roll of duct tape in my cars. I even keep a small roll on my bike.

Drew - If you're worried, you can swing by and borrow what I have for your trip. I doubt you'd need it since it's a fairly new truck but you never know. And you do have a V6 :p:D

Just make sure you know how to lower the spare. The crank has excess paint over the screws and you might need to chip it off with a screw driver so check that before you actually need it. Also know how to work the jack.

Say hi to the lawyer-chick-that-needs-mods for me :D.

LOLOLO,

I def will bobby. If we ever take a run somewhere, she wants to come to see what offroading is like. (although she may want to go in your truck cuz you're more experienced). She knows how i love my truck and, and has no idea that i know a bunch of guys that are the same way. It facinates her.

Im sure i'll be ok for the run up north. I am just going to go to costco and grab the kit and some tape. I also have to see how to lower the tire, since i have never done it before. Thanks for the tip

I've only gone offroading a couple of times in the 4runner and only a handful of times before that so I'm not that much more experienced in offroading than you are. Although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once...

I'm sure she'll have fun with you driving. If she goes, I might be able to talk my gf into going too. She had allergies the last time we went and was miserable most of the day so she didn't have good memories of going but she said she might go one more time when she feels better to give it a fair shot.

Tell her to come down for the 12/3 meet.

Drew- as Bobby says, bring her to the 12/3 meet. I think my GF will be there as well. Let me know when you will be coming and going from Boston. I bet you'll pass within 10 min. of me this weekend. It would be good to see you and toss the disc around, maybe even take you a little off-roading 10 min from my house.

Sweet. I am leaving NJ after work tomorrow at around 5:30 or so then going straight to the tappanzee (spelling) then straight to 95. When are you going to be around, i mean it will be dark and all, maybe meet for a drink or something.. snapple that is
