Hey all,
Looking for some opinions on a new deck/patio for my home. I don't have much of a yard, but I'd like to put something out there to enjoy some bbq and outdoor eating.
To cut right to the chase, the options are a standard wood deck, trex (or cheaper trex-type deck), or flagstone. The deck is going to be almost directly on the ground (flagstone would be on a new concrete slab). There is a very minor grade away from the house, but nothing I'm concerned about.
Attached are a couple pics of what I've got, and what I'm thinking of doing. The brown areas are where I think I definitely want the deck to be, and the red is a possible extra bit I'm considering.
(the 180* sprinklers would be changed to 90* sprinklers and the yard would turn into a 8x8 square)
My biggest question right now is material.
