Honestly, why anyone with a stock 4 runner would want to try fording 18 inches of snow is beyond me. The 4runner has less than 10" of clearance, data below is from the '16 runner's brochure"
4Runner encourages you to take on the toughest trails. Up to 9.6 inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 33 degrees and a departure angle of 26 degrees on 4Runner Trail help keep the adventure going.
So, no matter what tire you have on it, if it digs in just once, you will be sittin' there dangling your wheels in 4 big ol' holes!
But hey! If y'all think a snow tire or mud terrain will getcha through it, more power to ya! Just make sure to post vids of it!
