I am thinking about getting a defiant light bar with some lights and really don't know much about the lights or even what to consider. I want the lights for camping, river trips, etc. I have searched and seen that folks are using the FJ fog switch on the blank outs on my Sr5. Can someone with some knowledge on the issue please fill me in on what I need to consider. Many thanks in advance

There are alot of options when it comes to lights depending on size and beam pattern. The majority of people use Hellas, KC, PIAA or Lightforce. really depends on your price point. All offer driving and wide beam patterns.

Piaa and Lightforce offer a combo beam which combines a wide with a spot beam (PIAA - ATP, LF - Combo lens). I'm sure Hella and KC offer them too but ive only seen spots for them.

When you order your light bar, just tell Paul what lights you want to mount and he can space the lights appropriately.

Regarding the FJ fog light switches, they are direct replacements and fit perfectly. You can order both the switch and harness from TRDSparks.com:
Switch
Harness

You just clip off the end of the harness and wire them up to the lights.

And for reference, here is what each wire should be hooked up to:
Pin 1 (Red w/ Blue) : Illumination Power for "Lights On" indicator light
Pin 2 (Black): Ground for Illumination circuit
Pin 3 (Green w/ purple): Switch Power (12V Supply)
Pin 4 (Red w/ green): Line Out to Relay
Pin 5 (Grey): Ground for Backlit Illumination Circuit
Pin 6 (Purple): Illumination Power for Backlight
