Defiant Light Bar or Brush Guard?

SW Bumper too expensive and way too long waiting times... so the question comes down to Defiant Light Bar or Brush Guard? Im planning on running some lights... LF170s or PIAA 520s maybe LF 240 in the future.

Pros vs. Cons ?

I'm biased, but I say light bar. Most brushguards only hold 2 lights and IMO don't look that great on the 4th gen 4runner. I don't know if LF 240s will fit on any brushguards either. The Defiant bar can hold 2, 3, or 4 lights of any size and is designed and spaced for the specific light combination you plan to run.

My freind has one of these for sale. Main Frame It can mount 2 lights and is like new condition. I am not sure what he wants for it but I can find out if you are interested. He just bought his 4runner used. It had this on it but he took it of.

Neither. Brush guards are useless and the Defiant is too expensive.

If I was forced to buy one it would be the light bar.

Brush Guards and those guards that 03_4x4Runner suggested lower your clearance by 3" or something. If you do ANY wheeling you'll scrape the hell out of it. I used to have a guard like that and took it off in 3 weeks because I kept hitting it off roading.

I too dont like the looks of them either. I'd say Defiant Light bar if you really want to do that. I'd just get a bumper. Doesn't have to be shrockworks. You can get a Perkins with faster time and lower cost!
