Defroster not working on back side glass

As the title says, I tried the rear defroster about a week ago leaving work, the back sliding glass works but the rear side windows don't. I thought that was odd but remembered my coworker's Highlander not working either (He said they never worked from day one). Is this something that's just not hooked up or is it problem with the actual defrost unit?

try rolling the back glass all the way down, then rolling it all the way up and holding the up button for like 5 seconds after it fully closes. i think thats how you reset the system on that.

I think that is an antenna in the rear side window.
