I read a thread the other day that it took 30 days after ordering his 4Runner to come in. Its been 13 days since I ordered my new 4Runner and its in now. I will be picking it up this afternoon. It was setting at the dock on the west coast, delivered to Chicago and then to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Thats not too bad.

Not bad at all. Lucky for you, it was already built when you ordered it. If it's not built yet, it can take 8 weeks...

Even more. Dealer told me that it takes 8-10 weeks if they have to build it back at the factory.
I'm waiting since December 3rd for my TE.
Last week got a phone call from dealer that it is in port already but it will take up to 2 weeks to have them at the dealer ready for pick up.
So it is more than 10 weeks already.

Te

I'm 6 weeks into my wait for a new trail. I was told 12 - 14 weeks due to the limited #s of trails. We'll see what happens.

Waited more than nine weeks after ordering just what we wanted. Got a lot of doubletalk from the dealer about "allocations," "preferences," and other buzzwords. Bottom line: after nine weeks, the dealer STILL couldn't tell us when, or even if, we would get the vehicle we wanted Finally gave up, as our trade-in was dying, and took one without the Cargo Slide, and with several options we didn't want. Will certainly use the USAA car buying service next time to avoid the dealer shell game.

The USAA program will guarantee you a price of vehicle and cost of options.

But, there is nothing saying the dealer will get you the exact vehicle you want.

It was an absolute fight to get a Silver 2010 TE with Nav/KDSS and some other options. The quoted dealer will still only be able to sell you what is available to them, and may or may not help you locate the specific vehicle you are looking for.

Just FYI if you didn't know.

Just as an update to my previous post, last Wednesday I picked up my 4Runner TE :)

It took 11 1/2 weeks.
