Hi guys. First off, I just want to say, this is NOT an official group buy. I haven't had any serious talks with Demello about a 4th gen rear production bumper, and I'm not even sure they'd be down to do it, even if we got enough interest HOWEVER......

I am a huge fan of their products and have a front hoop bumper by them and their rock sliders. Both products have been outstanding and I would not hesitate in the least to get a rear bumper by them. (check out my build thread for pics of those products).

Like to Demello's site: Demello Offroad


They have come out with many new products including a new FJ rear bumper with swingout options. I would like something similar for our 4th gens.

There aren't many options for 4th gen rear swingouts. I believe that Demello's price point is somewhat better than the competition and perhaps we could get a group buy price going, or maybe they'd throw in some perks.

I'm relatively new to the forum and haven't organized anything like this before, so bear with me. Once I see how much interest this gathers, I'll call Jason and see what we can get going. I'm not sure if he's done a custom 4th gen rear before, nor if he has one close by that he can use as a template.

I am pretty sure Demello has done 4th gen 4runner rear bumpers, but never as a massed production unit. I would be interested as well, but I just purchased a cbi rear bumper, because theirs is the only bumper I have liked for the 4th gen so far. Would be really interested to see what Demello’s would look like.

I would think they've done custom 4th gens before as well, but I did a pretty thorough google and facebook search and haven't seen any yet. There are some good companies that make 4th gen rear bumpers now, but none that I'm heart set on for one reason or another. Coastaloffroad makes a great kit for a great price, but it's a weld-together kit at this time, and I'd prefer a production bumper that saves me the hassle, time and money finding someone to weld it. CBI's is nice, albeit quite expensive, and I like Demello's sleeker, more streamlined style that they seem to go for.
 
I'd be interested in seeing what they would come up with for a 4th gen bumper. Haven't seen any I like yet.
 
I've actually thought about going to Demello...dropping my 4R off and telling them to make me one. Even if I have to be the one that they mold and hack. Problem is with these bumpers, they are heavy and I have certain things I want to mount so mine would probably be a custom one...kind of like my Wilco. I have Rotopax mounted to it, a WaterPort, both my Krazy Beaver Shovels and a propane tank holder. I don't think Demello could accommodate all those. Sure would be nice as I LOVE my front bumper and I think they have the cleanest look out of any manufacturer.
