Dent in center console cover

I just completed a 12 hour total drive in my 4R TE. I guess when I drive I rest my bony elbow on the center console when my right hand is on the wheel. I noticed during the drive that where I put my elbow the soft padding was dented. No biggie I thought, it will puff back out. I was wrong. It's been a couple weeks and it's still there.

I couldn't care less, I just think it's funny that with all the crazy foam padding in the world, Toyota picked some that doesn't resist denting.

I always feel better after venting.

I have had the same thing happen in my wife's Honda Accord too. So far it had not happened in the Limited

I had that dent as well after a 1600 mile trip. Mine worked itself out after about a week.

Same dent here, those engineers must not have road tested a few of these parts. Mine was back to normal after a few sunny days in the heat.

Interesting, maybe I'll have to keep my wife's hair dryer in the console for quick repairs. There is a power plug in there after all!

Better be a low watt hairdryer. The max watts that plug produces is 400 (while running, and PARKED) and 100 watts (while moving) and some hairdryers pull way more. My girls is 700 watts!! Geesh.
