Denver differential repair

Anyone have suggestions/opinions for a shop in the Denver area that does differential work?

Short story... I heard what I immediately recognized as a pinion bearing. Like an idiot, I blindly assumed it to be the rear diff. and took it to 4 Wheel Parts in north Denver and had the diff. rebuilt. Come to find out, it was not the rear, it was the front. Total cost was approximately $850 for the rear rebuild and I would assume the front to be similar. I had no problems with their work and it was the best price I could find with little research.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice or recommendations now that I'm ready to have the front diff. repaired. I'd like to save as much of my hard-earned money as possible, but I don't want the guy down the street whose built 5 differentials in his entire lifetime performing the work. Thanks!

I highly recommend Charley's auto shop in boulder. He only works on toyota's and runs a no BS sorta shop.

He's never overcharged me, and a couple times he said it was easier than expected, so he charged me less than initially quoted. Solid mechanic

NOT RSG Offroad. VA4Runner09 had a nightmare with them installing gears and lockers back in May. Blew up his rear diff and had his truck for like 3 weeks.

I would have problems with a shop that did unnecessary work.

they should have inspected it and called you to say NO PROBLEMS with the rear diff.

I would have the repair shops first inspect for any drive train issues.
then give a cost for the issues you have and what is the worn/damaged parts.

I'm sure it's the front differential. I was later able to listen to the drivetrain with a stethoscope and could clearly hear roaring coming from the front.

I have no issues with what the shop did. They performed the work that I requested. That was my fault that I told them to rebuild the rear without confirming it was the culprit.

I can't speak personally for the work that Slee does, but I was in there today and the guy I talked to was extremely knowledgeable. I would probably take it there if I needed to get anything done. I would guess they do stuff with diffs. The guy mentioned that they build their own diff drops for the older cruisers.
