Denver Oil Change Shop Recommendations

I don't really have a regular place I go to for oil changes in the Denver area. I am located in central Denver (Cherry Creek North) area so hoping to find a location within reason. Can anybody make a good recommendation?

I also want a shop that will grease the zerks in my drive shaft too. I have a rather annoying clunk sound usually caused by shifting into drive or reverse and during hard acceleration and braking. I originally thought it was coming from a bad inner tie rod but turns out I had more than one clunk. New inner, outers, and LBJS fixed that problem (all NAPA premium in case you are wondering). I know it's easy to grease by yourself but honestly right now I don't really have the time and would rather just pay to have it done.

Um, your driveway? Just being a smartass, I assume you probably live in an apartment or something.

As for driveline work, Larry's Automotive (near 72nd and Lowell) is a good shop, but kind of on the far side of town for you.

Why don't you just go to the dealership.

At least they:

A) won't try to rip you off and sell you $500 worth of flush services you don't need.
B) give you a real OEM filter which is far superior to the cheap fram
C) only charge about $5-$10 more than a quick-lube type place
D) have mechanics who are certified. The quick lube jokers make min wage and have little training. They definitely get paid less than dealership guys.

I know the Toyota dealerships in San Diego charge between $30-$35 for normal oil change. The cheapo places charge $25-$30.

Don't be cheap -- I assume since you posted that you really care about your truck and want to treat it right.

I actually go to a Toyota specialty shop (non-dealer) that uses all OEM parts (always and without request) and charges less per hour than a dealership. Even if you don't have that option, the dealerships are good for oil changes. They keep the prices low so you will come back.

BTW, I also had that same clunk whenever stopping and starting at a light. I simply had the mechanic grease driveshaft zirks and the clunk went away for good.

And the dealer will wash it for you for free. stevenson does mine for 35

I wouldn't use dealers around here though I did in the past. Stevensons told me I needed all sorts of stuff done even though most had already been done by me in the driveway. I suspect they look at dealer maintenance records instead of the truck when writing it up.

I was surprised by Ken's. I live by them and on a whim stopped in regarding an issue. I won't bore you with details but I go there all the time now. Good, reliable & honest.

Awesome suggestions! Thank you for the replies. I will be checking out all of the mentioned. Most of the time I would just normally do it myself but sometimes I just feel lazy. Especially when I am working 6 days a week and would rather spend that 7th day either relaxing or snowboarding.
