I know this a well known fact when it comes to Toyota but I wanted to make a thread about it because so far every Toyota I've owned has been VERY dependable & I think Toyota deserves some kudos for making such great products. I have had a 2006 Tacoma (no issues from 64K to 102K) & now own a 2007 Avalon (113K when bought with 140K now) no issues & most importantly my daily driver 2004 4Runner (159K when bought & now 169K). I have such great luck with my Toyota's it makes it VERY difficult to ever go with any other brand. I have read the articles & heard the rumor's but when seeing it for myself it really makes me want to be devoted to Toyota from here on out. It is so nice to know when I go out to my car/truck everyday that it's going to start & take me where I need to go without issues. I'm really expecting to get way over 200K with both my current vehicles easily. They both run like new & it's nice to know they are in for the long haul which saves me lots of money. Toyota has me convinced it's the brand I need to stick with for years to come.

I agree with you. I have owned a 2005 (113,000) Tacoma and a 2006 Tacoma (147,000) and both had no issues. I've owned 2 3rd Gen 4Runners (183,000 and 214,000). My current 4th gen 4Runner has 163,000 on it and drives like a new one. My oldest daughter has a 2005 Solara (135,000) and my youngest daughter a 2007 Rav4 (115,000). The only issues I have is with the Rav4. It has a weird cruise control issue that is known but not fixable. I have also owned Nissan (Junk), Honda (Good cars too), Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Volkswagen. Toyotas have been my favorite. I have not had one issue with any of my Toyotas that resulted in stranding me or my family. Nor have I had to make a repair that cost me lots of money.

Toyota makes great reliable cars. The pressure to have everything be electronic due to people being lazy and stupid as well as idiotic emissions laws seem to be their biggest enemy with the 4th gen (Cracking exhaust manifolds and busted 4LO actuators).
