DeRusting and 4runner Paint Care

So I just took some parts off my friends crashed 1997 4runner.

Stuff like:

Grille
Front Bumper
Tow hitch
Bolts and screws
etc..

Before I put them on my 4runner, i want to get the bit of rust off everything.

Nothing is crawling in rust about to break, but you can see some rust, and i know eventually it can become a bigger problem.

So... Here's my questions:

1. There are so many different brands of chemicals used on vehicles and i really dont know what is the best, or the cheapest bang for your buck.
- So what do you guys recomend for De-rusting any of my new parts, and also under my current 4runner where i have quite a bit of rust near the axle and other parts.

2. What would you recomend to put on your undercarrage or peices waiting to go on my 4runner, after you have de-rusted them? To prevent future rusting.

3. I also have a 1998 4runner where right now the paint is starting to chip, it was my dad's since 02 and basically the whole top has chipped.
- When i purchase a new 4runner with great paint quality still... what can i do to prevent paint damage, or chipping, and to keep it looking the best?

4. Do you Wash your 4runner weekly or so? Wax it? Ever Spray a new clear coat on, or would that be dumb? haha.. I just want the best for my paint in the future.

5. And should i make sure to keep it in a garage away from sitting in the sun? or does letting it sit outside not make a huge difference on your paint degrading?

Do you know how to use the search function? Not trying to be a dick here, but you've started several threads in the last day or so. All of which have been answered time and time again. It seems like you're wanting everybody to tell you what to do rather than finding the answers on your own.

I dont really know how to, i think someone told me how, but it seemed so complicated that this seemed like a better way haha. If its simple, i guess try to explain it to me, it would help alot, i still got alot more un-answered questions

Dude....these questions are all answered. Most everything you've posted in every thread....see the link below on how to search more accurately.

I use Google to search for everything on here. In the Google search bar type "3rd Gen 4runner" followed by what your looking for. Something like this...3rd Gen 4runner rust, 3rd Gen 4runner rust conversion, and so on. That's the only way I search for anything, and it'll pull information from more than just this forum.:rockon:
