Can I ask where you got the vinyl wrap from on the lower front grille on your old 4Runner that you just sold? Where can I buy it and is it hard to install instead of just painting or replacing this piece?

I had a local vinyl wrap/tint shop do the wrap for me. Watching them, there was no way that I would have done the job any justice...lol. I actually went that route because then I could go back to the stock look, but it turned out great and has been very durable so far.

I am the proud new owner of the desertdawg 4Runner. While it will be hard to improve on perfection, I will try to keep the build thread going for this fantastic vehicle. I have relocated it from New Mexico to San Diego. I will get some photos out and let you guys know of any planned changes.

Your runner is my wallpaper at work and I’m going with a very similar build. As I was deciding on parts you seem to have all the stuff I picked out. You have done one damn clean build and I hope mine turns out looking as good, It better, we have the same color and parts so I better not screw this up. I’m sure the Tundra will be a beast have fun with it.

I am in the Carmel Valley/ Del Mar Heights area. Happy to show you the truck anytime and go wheeling. So far it is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Lately I have been trying to plan the next set of Mods for the truck. I need to get the winch and bumper installed. In the meantime, I am looking at light replacements and possibly speaker replacements.
Let me know and we can definitely hook up.

Well I was just down at Seaside in Cardiff and saw this beast! Man that 4Runner looks great.
Thanks!! I think I actually saw you as well. Great looking rig as well. Had a lunch meeting and found out about the burgundy pepper marinated trip-tip, or Cardiff Crack as I was told it is called. Picked up a big one for grilling on Father's day.
I am itching to get out and do some wheeling. Any suggestions on a semi-local location that I can get out to? Nothing too technical until I get used ot this rig.

To my friends here on T4R.ORG, I thought I would show my progress so far on my new 2015 Tundra 1794 Edition CrewMax 4x4. As you recall, I wanted to get back to a full sized truck that would suite my needs as a daily driver for work and family but still allow me to get out on the weekends and perhaps the occasional trail. So I set this up to haul my bikes and camping gear for the weekends while being my urban hauler as well.
Stock truck right off the lot:
1794 Edition interior (stock photo):
My first mod was to dechrome the truck and add the TRD PRO grille with custom paint to match. I then went with the Toytec BOSS suspension set at 3.25-inches up front and Coachbuilder rear shackles combined with TIS 535B 20x9 wheels and the new Cooper STT PRO tires (LT295/60R20). I also added a Linex spray-on bedliner, Bed Rug bed mat, Truck Covers USA retractable tonneau cover, Yakima rack and mount system, n-Fab bumper light bar mount with Rigid 30-inch dual row light bar, and some other tidbits.
My previous 4Runner build was really successful as a daily driver and great weekend trailer, but the Tundra is suiting my needs for more room and hauling convenience. I am not done but hope you like my progress so far:
