None, those are the factory cloth seats. I am considering some Wet Okoles or maybe even some leather Katzkins (black with red piping to tie into the ractory red stitching in door leather).

How is the wind noise on your gobi after the 40 inch light bar vs before (moon roof open). Your set up looks sick I am now torn between a 40 inch curved or a 12 and two 6s with black lens bevels.

Thanks IronMan...I don't have the moonroof (couldn't fit in the 4Runner with the factory moonroof so will be opting for aftermarket down the road) so the wind noise with the Gobi is very tolerable even at highway speeds as l barely even hear it. Oddly enough, there is no additional wind noise with the light bar. I was worried about that some when I first installed the light bar, but I am thinking the curved radius of the light bar along with the Gobi roof rack wind deflector conspire for minimal impact.

So I had a TRD sticker hangiing around and decided to try and use somewhere on my Trail, and came up with this:








I dunno; sort gives a sporting look but sure makes the truck feel faster...lol.

Yah or Nay??

Personally, I would have ripped off that Gobi sticker and replaced it with that TRD sticker. I won't knock it, however. Your rig is insanely nice!
 
I agree with @harko. It would look better on the rack if you scrubbed off the gobi sticker. That or a rear quarter-panel window. Not a fan of calling more attention to the mirrors. Great job on the build so far!

Thanks guys for the compliments and thanks for the input! I actually removed the mirror sticker already after posting the pics...lol. I sat back in my garage with a beer from my little "brew fridge" and stared at the truck for a little bit before I finally decided I didn't like it after all. What a waste of a good sticker...lol.

I originally was going to replace the GOBI sticker with the TRD one but the latter was a bit smaller and I thought it would look lost on the wind deflector. Anyway, I had already reserved that spot for my new Desert Dawg sticker that I am going to put up there!

I am loving the tires so far. I only have about 1000 miles on them but they ride and handle great. Noise level is minimum even at highway speeds (fastest I have been so far is 80 mph) especially when compared to other off-road biased tires I have run in the past. You know they are there but not intrusive at all.

The tires show almost no wear and they handle great even with some spirited driving (as much as one can have spirited driving with a lifted 4x4...lol).

I will be taking the 4Runner up to Colorado for some trailing later in July so can report how the tires perform with some off-road use afterwards. So far, the only inclement conditions they have seen is some moderate rain but again no issues with hydroplaning or loss of traction.


 
Cooper st-maxxx's maybe the best tires I have ever run on and off road in my opinion. I am on my second set on my Dodge Cummins 2500 4x4 that sees about 360 miles a day with about 100 of them being off road
(first set lasted about 42,000 miles). I have run all kinds of tires over the 15+ years I have worked in the field and these are by far one of my favorite tires so far. They don't chip out like bfg all terrains and work great in cold weather as well. The company I work for has run Nitto's in the past and we had tons of side wall cuts! Hankooks did Good, Good years didn't get any real mileage on them plus I saw a few loose tread which is a serious deal breaker for me. Falkens have done ok. All in all I think Cooper has built one of the best tires on the market in the past couple of years! That being said Desert Dawg it looks if your still have the stock spare lol time to spend more:whip2:

Thanks Taco04; that is really encouraging to hear and sure reinforces my initial impressions. I am still at a loss on how I never paid attention to these tires before...lol.

Speaking at being at a loss, you're are very correct; I still have the factory spare. I measured underneath and there just isn't enough room to mount and fit the 33-inch Cooper.

So I guess my options are a rear hatch mount or roof mount. I did not give enough thought to leaving some room for a hatch mount when I installed the rear cargo ladder (aka, Bimruuner's setup and others). :doh:

So I guess I am left with a roof mount (which is fine with the Gobi rack) but only for off-road or long trips as it won't fit in my garage.

Maybe just get a 255/80/17 ST MAXX to fit on the OEM spare wheel. If it won't fit underneath, at least it wouldn't stick up so high on the roof rack.
 
I can still fit my Tiny 275 70 17 in the stock location! :flamethrwoer2: With this being said I will still run a second spare on my front runner rack on trips in case $hit hits the fan! :toilet:

Yeah, the 32 inch tall tires can squeeze in. I will have to get the tire mount for the roof before my trip too.
 
Although i have no experience myself a lot of people have squeezed 285/70 and 255/80 into the spare spot underneath, have you tried to test fit it?
