DFW T4Rs: Replacing Shocks 3/28

I'm a 3rd Gen owner, but my friend has a 4th Gen and I have offered to help him replace his front shocks. No lift or anything fancy, just shocks. He has a 2005 SR5 4WD. No XREAS. He's right on the border of Allen and Plano. I have a decent amount of experience with car maintenance, but not necessarily on 4th Gens. So, if you're willing to come hang out and help us, I would appreciate any help from anyone who either knows what they're doing or just wants to learn on someone else's car.

I will also accept any and all advice on the project.

I'm not local enough to help, but for advice: here is a great way to remove/install the front without using spring compressors. Hope that helps!

Hey man I'm local and I recently got my lift done, so I'm willing to help just depends when. I also know a few other 4Runner guys around the area that might be willing to help.

We'll be starting at 7am and we have to be done by 1pm so that we can be at another event at 2. Whatever we don't finish, we'll have to finish on Sunday, but hopefully 6 hours will be enough.
