Did a 2001 come with any sort of front tag bracket

As background I recently reaquired my 2001 SR5. I bought it new in Texas but is has been in a non front tag state for past few years. I could swear it had a bracket that held the tag when I bought it but it doesn;t now. I am trying to find the bracket or a reasonanble replacement.

I didn't think any 3rd gen 4 runner had a bracket for a plate in the front. They have the dimples for where lags can go to hold one but I haven't seen a bracket for one.

Actually something to hold the plate. Attaching it by two screws at the top makes the bottom flutter. Guessing there must be something - the new valence has two small holes for self tapping screwss and two larger ones that look like a backing plate should go there

I have to admit mine is Very bent up, folks keep hitting it, next I'll put in on the dash where I can't see it, haha....

Maybe one of plastic license plate holders that hold the entire plate will work. That way it secured a little.

Edit: The other users suggestion is a great alternative as well. As it wasnt there until after a posted.

In NJ, a front plate state, it came with the plate and cheapo plastic frame with the name of the dealer on it. Trashed it that day.

Thankfully PA only has rear tags. As it seems many states require front and back plates.

[ On a side note]

I honestly dont know why dealerships think its ok to put advertising on other people's property. If people agree to it is one thing. I think we should get paid to advertise for them. I trash any and all advertising on all my rides.
