Did all '99's come with tall coils?

Found a '99 at a local junk yard that is complete and in awesome condition with 159K miles on it. Its a limited V6 4x4. Would it have tall coils and if so would you buy them with these number of miles? Its $150 for all springs, shocks and struts.

No they did not.

No it will not.

If my suspension were BLOWN I would buy them, otherwise I would not.

Not all came with them. You can check the color codes on the springs and see what you got

Front Passenger Side Springs - Blue / Yellow (48131-35400)
Front Driver Side Springs - Blue / Pink (48131 - 35350)
Both Rear Springs - Yellow / Red (48231 - 35210)

Thank you guys. And yes, my suspension is blown to the point of shock fluid all over the wheel well and dripping off the lca and about a 3 inch sag on the rear.

Impressive.

If you've got $150 to blow on what may be a VERY temporary fix (say, if this junked 4Runner also has trash suspension), then I'd go ahead and pick it up.

If not, I'd just hold off for a bit, save your pennies, and buy some new stuff when you can.

Also- junk yards are typically able to haggle a bit... I'd offer them $100.

The shock just blew but the rear has sagged because it was stored for 18 months with a ton of crap in the back.

I'm getting a ton of stuff to go with the suspension:

Centre arm rest
Head liner
Carpet
Both front seats (are '99 limited's heated?)
All seat belts
Ignition switch and key
Headlights


All for $610.

I wouldn't waste my time putting springs with 160k on them into my truck. That's the point when a lot of owners start thinking about replacing them. Mine was sagging pretty badly with 170k on it. I don't imagine it was the last 10k that did all the damage. I'd go with new (or very low mileage) springs, or not at all. :thumb3:

Again like stated I would rather get some cheap auto store coils. IMO best option would be new OEM 99 coils. But for a $150 temp fix I guess you can try.
