Did I install these correctly. King rear shocks.

I was a little confused as the shocks came labeled left and right. I could only get them to fit on the opposite sides though. So the shock labeled "right" is installed on the left\driver side of the vehicle.

The only reference I could find was from Patio Burrito (I'm not sure how to mention users on here)

Those are beautiful shocks

Are the reservoirs on both shocks in the exact same locations ? Or are they slightly in different locations. This could give you the right orientation.

Look at the comparison of the other user. It looks right to me.

Also if you want to tag someone. You just need to type the @ in front of their username.

Confused as to how you couldn't get them to fit on the sides they were labeled? What was preventing that?

I wouldn't think it would make any difference except for the routing of the piggyback hose. inside or outside...They do look great.

king told me which side to mount mine on but I forgot already and I was going to install them with the resi towards the outside I think if they clear the frame rails.

Also I was told I might have to loosen the gold clamp and move the resi if needed.

Really ? Highly doubt it. Since it's more about the coils. For tacomas leaf spring. But you could be right

You're probably right and I imagine the LvR has to do with res position. Not sure (relative to the weight of the vehicle) how much if any difference the gas tank makes to the motion...

Both sides have the adjustable dampening.

turbo, I have the same rear shocks and mine are mounted opposite of yours, the hose should be facing towards the center of the truck. You may need to turn the shocks some so it lines up with the mount, but it should fit like King recommends.

Also I was told I might have to loosen the gold clamp and move the resi if needed.

Keep an eye on your driver side rear reservoir. The shock itself can rotate and hit the sway bar.

I was just looking at my shocks today and I need to adjust or do something. I’m not to excited about the clearance. Also one shock reservoir is facing forward and one rearward

I have my shocks on like this, it looks like if they are put on like the picture I was sent from king the reservoirs will contact the axle tube.

The left shock is in the left side per the way the aluminum fitting on the bottom is though so I’m going to run it, check it regularly and hope for the best
