Did my own window tint

Alrighty everyone, I have always had a professional do this in the past but figured I would give it a try on my wifes 4runner. The kit I bought was precut and I got 20% in the front two windows and 35% over all the rear that had the factory tint. It was quite frustrating at first but once I got the hang of it it started going faster. I didnt get along with the rear window and the passenger rear door window so I need to order another one lol. Heres how it looks - Before and after

How much of a gap is left at the top of the window?

Looks good....!....may I ask what brand are your window vent visors?...and do the front ones go all the way down to the rearview side mirror?....

they are made by westin, and yes they go all the way to the side mirror, fit very nicely

Those look identical to the ones I have by Wade.

Even the red sticker on them is the same.

I've always liked window tints all around, but I have a question for all of you who are brave enough to do the tinting: Do you get pulled over by the police due to the tint law?????

the tint and install stuff was 40, the deflectors were around 50 or so, I bought em a few months ago

Depends on the police in your area and how dark you go. I would look at cars in my area and see what they are doing.

Likely the rear window is a compound curve meaning it curves top to bottom and left to right. Tinting a compound curve is like trying to wrap a sheet of paper around a basketball. The only way to do it is to multiple strips or heat shrink the tint before to make the fingers that stick up go down. I've had great success with doing my own tint with those pre cut kits.

you can choose your percent of what you want
