This has nothing to do with the end product. VW stock has a little giddy- up, I'm not so sure about their vehicks.

In fact, near the end of October, VW briefly became the worlds most valuable company!

Well...lets think about this. A majority of VW's cars are driven by their 2.0T(now TFSI) engine that get GREAT fuel economy. And, they are bulletproof engines. They obviously never got into the truck scene so they didn't have that weighing them down. The only hit they took was in the Touareg and that's because of the issues the 04's and early 05's had. Not to mention the price was too steep on them. So they cut back in late 06 just before the truck scene went in a downward spiral.

Now, with the clean burning TDI'sout you will see a lot more out of VW. With the Jetta sedan, Jetta Sportwagen, and soon the TDI Tiguan they will see a huge increase in sales. When the 3.0TDI comes here in the Touareg you will see big sales in that segment of VW. I believe the only thing that may hurt VW is the Routan minivan. And with the talks of a truck, they better hope it has the 3.0TDI in it or it won't sell all that much. VW/Audi has some of the best interiors IMO and the new CC that is out is one of the nicest VW's I've seen since the Corrado.

VW is doing things right and when Porsche comes in to take a majority stake lets hope they don't shake things up too much. Because VW-Audi-Porsche sure don't get along.
