How tough/long was it to rip out the XREAS? I have it myself, unfortunately, and will eventually need to rip it out if I'm going to put a lift on and not use spacers.

Not tough at all. From the pictures, a few members are spilling fluid during the process. The easiest way is to get all 4 tires off the ground and disconnect the system at the check valves and you won't spill more than a couple of drops.

surface rust. trust me, i've investigated. frame, etc is solid. inherent problem with living in NE US/Canada.

OK, but getting a handle on it sooner than later might be advantageous. The front skid and LCA look like they're about to rot off.

wasn't tough. many seized bolts that had to be heated up to be removed. We removed skid plate/sway bar to get at the front springs and shocks. Not the worst thing to do. We had a lift/air tools/heat etc though

the skid is going to be taken down, sanded and painted ASAP....i picked at all the suspension while it was on a lift because I thought the same...pretty solid. I had the vehicle safety inspected same day, in which all brakes/suspension/frame is looked at pretty closely, and it passed with flying colors. I do worry about rust ALL the time, as do we all up here.

i started getting a leak around the piping close to one of the actuators on the Drivers side...right where the clip holds the piping.

My rear felt stiff for about 5000 miles, it felt like it didn't have enough rebound - bounces up too quick. It seemed to soften up after I towed a couple of motorcycles. It was about 2200lbs incl. trailer and about 300lbs in the cargo. So now, it feels balanced with the front. Just curious, which setting did you use on the front?

BTW, it looks like you used the new polyurethane bushings from Bilstein. How the **** did you get the nut back on? I had to use the original bushing on the top to get the nut back on.

I set the fronts to 0.85. It looks great, leveled out the front with the back i feel

No, I was only able to use 1 new bushing on each side with the original bushing on the top. Did you notice you got closer to a 1.5" lift with the 0.85" setting? This is what happened with mine. I originally set it to the 1.75", but the front ended up a bit higher so I dropped it to the 0.85" setting.
