Did tinting your 4th Gen window windows lose reception?

I had mine tinted, though I am not sure what kind of film was used. It probably says on the lifetime warranty paper they gave me. Anyway, I have not had any loss of reception that I have noticed, but I really can't compare a before and after since I had this done in the first week of owning.
I would suggest having it done; it really helps with the heat and other sun damage. From what I understand about window tint, the factory tint does not block UV rays because it is just "painted glass". The tint film will block UV rays, keeping it cooler and adding protection. I definitely noticed the heat difference last summer! Plus you get the added security of not being able to see in.

I would be surprised if the stock tint didn't block most UV. It doesn't take very much. You could easily manufacture glass that is perfectly clear, yet blocks all UV.
Blocking infrared is another story. Being a much lower frequency, it can pass through more easily.
I haven't thought about tinting my 04. Maybe this summer will change my mind. Seems pretty dark as it is, though.

I guess it it is kind of like sunglasses, some block uv rays, some do not. Not sure on the tint?
I had the front windows done first because they were not tinted. If you held your hand up close to the interior glass, you could feel more heat at the back seat - factory tint vs. the front seat - film. One reason why I went back and had the rest of the vehicle done. I noticed a big difference in the interior temperature after it is parked in 100 degree heat all day!

I don't know......probably not? It looks like regular tint to me, but no loss in reception.
