Hey all I have an 86 4runner with the 22re EFI. and I'm wondering if anybody knows a good link on converting it to a Diesel engine. I'm kinda thinking down the road towards turning it into a grease burner as blasphemous as it sounds.
Gimme your input
thanks.

you should go to your local news stand and look for imported off road mags. look for one from ausltralia especially. this kind of thing is more popular in other countries and you may come up with some suppliers. also those austrailian guys build their trucks to last a week off road not just the day trip trail rides that we do.

kewl I'll try out some of those sites and mags. My Uncle got me on this idea as he has a Mercedes that he made to run on pure veggie oil straight of the fry pan into his gas can It's an awesome concept. if you should happen on anything else please fire me a link.
Thanks again.

The links below have everything you ever wanted to know about Toyota diesel & biodiesel pickups:

The way the price of gasoline (petrol for Australians) is going I suggest that everyone convert their Toyotas to diesel as they are more:

fuel efficient
higher torque
waterproof
simpler
reliable
safer
can idle all day long
less overheat episodes
can burn bio diesel or vegetable oil (without glycerin)

Well to help everyone dismiss the myth that Toyota diesel pickups & SUV's are rare in USA & Canada I have included below a list of very resourcefull links that contain places to buy diesel engines/parts and complete rigs.

Toyota diesel engines models: 2L's, 2L-T's, 3L's and 5L
