Differences between standard SR5 and SR5 Sport?

Does anyone know the differences between a standard G3 4Runner SR5 and the SR5 "Sport" model? Obviously the sport has the hood scoop, a different front skid plate, and I've seen them with nerf bars instead of a running board. Is that it or are there interior or engine differences as well?

I believe that the '02 Sport Edition package consists of a hood scoop, a skid plate, the sport edition badges, fabric "sport" seats, sport edition floor mats, 16" wheels, 13" brakes, painted fender flares, and a 4.1 rear diff. Take that all away and you've got an SR5.

Engine is the same on all models.

Eveything previously stated, just keep inmind the seats are a bit different than SR5 aside from fabric, they have a little extra side bolstering. The nerf barfs came on 02 Sports, other years will have running boards. The skid plates are the same on the Sport model, what you get is the little bolt on aluminum piece, if you want to refer to that as a skid plate, ok, I'd say it is more of a spoiler. Sports get fog lights, optional on SR5's and Sports also get the brushed aluminum trim inside, instead of black or wood trim like LTD. They also get the different rims, and slightly larger sway bars. I have had my 02 Sport for 5 months now and really love it, I'm sure an SR5 would be great too, but I like the extras w/ the Sport.

Good info. Thanks. I wanted a sport but couldn't find one, so I was wondering what exactly the differences were.

What size are the SR5 brakes if the sport has 13"? I'm assuming that's front discs being quoted?

I'd like to get rid of my running boards and bolt up a set of sport nerf bars. If I could find a sport hood I'd swap that out as well as I dig the scoop, even if it is non-functional.

According to the code label on my 4Runner I've already got the 4.10 gears and it also came with 16" wheels.

leather was optional.. I have it in my 01 sport pkg.

99-00 were highlanders. 01 was sport pkg. then 02 had the sport edition badges.

alumn trim was optional. still could get black trim inside as well.
