Differential fluid change question

This maybe a silly question but I just need some quick reassurance.
When I drained and filled my diffs and t-case yesterday I didn't measure the amount I put in. I just filled till it came out the drain hole. Is this okay to do, or should I go back and be exact with the amounts I add?
Thanks for your info and input guys.

I let it run. Till it was just slowly coming out. It wasn't dumping out huge amounts or anything.
This is good news. Thanks again guys! I always appreciate the advice and help.

Probably just a typo, but you filled it until it came out the FILL hole right? That is the proper way to do it, no measuring. You fill it until you can't fill it any more because it is coming out of the hole you are filling it from.

Level with the bottom of the fill hole is correct.

The vehicle also needs to be level front-to-back and side-to-side, when checking or filling. Otherwise the level can either be too high or too low, depending on how the vehicle is tilted.
