How difficult is it to install an aftermarker keyless entry system on a scale of 1 to 7? And are there any out there that are simply plug-in systems?

I want to equip my 2000 4Runner with keyless entry.

If its a 2000 than it probably already has the alarm in it, you just need to buy the acutal keyless entry piece that goes on your key ring, you can get these on ebay for less then 40 bucks shipped. And the programing is simple. I had to do the same thing when I bought my 2000.

Thanks for the info. I have a base 4runner. I have a factory security system but is the keyless feature included?

Thats the thing I can't figure out, I have heard alot of people wanting the keyless entry because they have the alarm. I don't understand why toyota would include an alarm without including a standard keyless entry too.
