Direct replacement switches

Hello all,

Like the title says I am looking for direct replacement switches for my 98' 4Runner. I'd like to add foglights (and other stuff later on), and was wondering if anyone makes direct drop in place switches.

I found these from Slee Offroad and they appear as though they'd fit, just seeing what anyone else can suggest.

These switches are one place Toyota standardized for quite a while. And yes some of what Slee offers will work for you. You can of course, do enough research to find part numbers for what you want and buy them from Toyota. If you have the time, you can visit some wrecking yards and probably find some there too!

Of course the later Toyotas use a smaller footprint, I'm sure you saw that.

I don't suppose you know any places that make direct fit switches with different labels like "winch" and other stuff on them?

Not direct fit, no. But if you want custom, you can try these.

Yea I've seen that sure before. I'm really trying to keep the stock appearance of the truck, looks cleaner IMO. Thanks for the link though!

These will drop right into 96-02 panel knockouts too:

GSW-45 Rocker Switch - Scion OEM Style

I used them when I added a switch for my power antenna, looks factory and works great.

This is what I used for my fogs on my '99. Just Google "Toyota fog light switch" and plenty of pics will come up. I think its factory Toyota. It fits perfectly in the switch blanks and blends in well with the other dash switches.

I saw one like that it was on a set of dealer installed fog lights on a 97 4Runner. That's not a bad switch but I'd prefer the kind you push in and out not the toggle type. I know I'm picky.

Got ya. Yeah the only issue I've had with this one is I can't seem to get it wired to backlight the switch. Tried several different slots in the fuse box but none have worked so far.

You don't need to go to the fuse box for back lighting. Simply tap into the same wire on an existing switch, and they'll light up together.

Reviving this thread. Are there any updated OEM style switches? Preferably push button, but if not, I’d consider rocker style too for turning on my lightbar.
