Disable auto lock on 97?

Just picked up a 1997 SR5 4x4 yesterday! I can not stand the way the doors lock as soon as you turn the ignition key! I took it to a Toy dealer today and they couldn't figure out how to do it without writing a service order and nmaking an appointment! Needless to say...I wasn't playing that game!
Anyway, I did find out that it is an RS3000 system. If anybody here can tell me how to DIS ABLE the auto door lock function, I'd really appreciate it!

Do you have an alarm? I unintentionally deactived my auto-lock function when I disconnected and then reconnected my alarm.

Yes...I have the Toyota VIP alarm. How did you deactivate the alarm?

my alarm is a viper. not sure if it works the same as the toyota VIP. i had to go under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel and then just unplugged the alarm which is mounted under there. wait a few seconds and plug it back in. dont know if that will help you, but thats what worked for me.

I have 2000 limited. Is it possible to turn off the TWO HONKS when I UN-LOCK the car.
