I am used to a car where the gauge backlight only turns on when I turn on the headlights. In my new 4Runner, the lights always appear to be on (I'm guessing due to the daytime running lights). I routinely forget to turn on my headlights at dusk and when there is a lot of street lights. Is there a way to change the backlight behavior so it only turns on when I flip the headlights on?
Disable backlit gauges with headlights off?
