Hello everyone! Just bought an 02 and am having some serious issues with the alarm. I've searched through all the stickies and haven't found anything on this.
If the vehicle sits locked for any amount of time when you go to unlock it (either by the after market FOB or the key) it sets the alarm off. You then have to wait till it quits and do it again, then it will set it off again. After about 4-5 times it will finally unlock and let you drive.
For a quick solution...is there a way to permanently disable the alarm. Just go back to old school locking of the doors?
Long term...The key and the key FOB's are aftermarket, could this be a problem?
