Just a little feed back....
I have been reading your posts for a few days.
I have notice hostility between some members. That was a turn off from the start.
Then I posted some fairly easy questions and no response.
I am glad I signed up for free because now I can leave you guys to argue amungst yourselve without feeling gilted.

Have a good fight...:bash:

P.S. I use others sights, such as IH...
Always get a welcome to the sight or atleast I can't help but so and so may know...

Just disapointed :(

So you made a single post with a few questions at 1 yesterday afternoon and since no one made a reply you within 17 hours you leave thinking it must be some conspiracy? Perhaps people have been busy or are looking into your answer and will need a bit of time to get back to you. You may be disappointed, but it is, in all likelihood, not a slight towards you personally. If you actually took the time to research most of the questions posed here, people are pretty good about offering up repair tips/modifications it just may take a bit of time to do so.

Hostility exists everywhere, just a little lesson in life. Despite what some people may think, everyone does not have to get along with everyone else in life - nevermind having to take into account the one-dimensionality of internet communications and the inability to read into any sarcasm that may be present.

LOL....

On "other" sights sarcasm and hostility is not tolerated...
I guess I got used to a more professional setting.

By the way, I have been reading post here and on other sight for 3 days before I asked my question.

I looked at another post on this sight that stated the same thing.... "68 views and no response...."

He got the same BS reply I just received....
Your post is too long, mostly background....
But when you ask a short question is that not the first response you get? "Not enough info to help, what type engine, is a 4x4 etc..." So more info is better then not enough....

I take my leave of you...

Don't bail out yet. . . I looked up your thread about the fuel tank on the '90, is this the post your talking about? If it is then you may be able to access it from under the seat but on my old '90 I just ran to about an 1/8th and dropped the tank. The rear seat bottoms lift up and then the seat backs fold down to give a lot more room for cargo. The bottom seat cushion should have a small strap to pull up on for raising it. And I believe the difference between the engines is that one is a 4 banger and the other is a V6. This site is well organized and often people stick within their own generations so posting in the general discussion may be necessary to get a wider audience. Personally I would have never have been able to answer your question if I did not read this thread in general discussions as I usually don't view the classic section (I own a 3rd generation now).

:p

BTW, what is "FNG"?

I would guess you are referring to my recent posts with the head moderator. We have been bumping heads for some time but as far as sites/forums go, you will not find a better bunch of members on ANY other site. The problem you may have is this site is mainly about the 4th gen 4Runner. Other then Thai and I, you will not see much friction, at all. Before throwing in the towel, do some searches on general topics (such as oil, off-roading, etc.) and you will find that there is a world of information here and very helpful members.

Also all that drama between the two is for the entertainment of others on this forum. Don't be fooled. . . they really love each other:lmao:

4th gens are So Gay and only :nerd:s drive them.;):

(can we have a drama lounge or maybe a Thai/Koz forum?)

It is true...Koz knows a lot of stuff, esp. performance related. We all have disagreements at times. For us, we disagree on where Toyota quality is heading and on tires. These are the only two areas where our "knowledge base" collide...and when we do cross paths, he is wrong and i am right. :D Just kidding.

You forgot, Ron...NITTOS ARE JUST SO GAY!! :D

You are probably asking yourself; how can you argue with a moderator with a snowflake tattooed on his butt?

That is why my BFG can drag my ass thru snow farther than you. :)

About Koz and Thai

I highly value both their opinions. However, every time they converse with each other you can just sense the enormous amount of sexual tension between these two...

Just breaks your heart doesn't it? :p

I'm pretty new to this site myself and my experience has been the exact opposite. I've posted several questions and the response has been great, sure it takes a day or two but so what, people have other things going on like work, families etc.

I would rather see arguments on performance or tires than the annoying Import vs Domestic, support America and buy American vehicles BS that i've seen on other forums.

Osborgo, hang in there, this IS a great forum :bigok: Some real basic tips that I've learned: 1) The activity on the forum seems to fluctuate with the ebb and flow of the universe (or something). Sometimes they're will be a 10 new posts in 1 day other times 10 in 10... 2) Searching can be limited to a specific gen forum (which can be really helpful) 3) The general discussion area gets the most views but not always by the most qualified. 4) Often times the moderators go through and move older posts to the appropriate area so once again searching a specific area works pretty well.

If you choose to not hang around that's your choice. Everbody here is pretty cool and bonded by the love/respect of T4R's.

In an effort to help you out check your PM's
