I'm not defending them. I'm just stating that every Business decides how they want to or have to position themselves in the marketplace.
If I were you, I would do business elsewhere.
I was in the car repair Business. I saw first-hand how my Bosses gouged customers, and expected me to be a key player in that strategy.
Later, after I got out of the consumer car repair business to maintain my self respect, I became a Business owner. I learned all about pricing strategy. The Business I was in, dealt mostly with selling to customers funded by Taxpayer Dollars. As such, almost everything I sold had to go out to bid.
In such an environment, low-bid is the obvious front runner in the bidding process. I was rarely low-bid. Instead, I offered a better product and service after the sale, at a competitive price with the low-bidder competitors.
