disc brake pads

I HAVE A 1998 4 RUNNER LTD WITH 16.5 WHEELS,DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT FRONT BRAKE PADS WERE OEM AND WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST PAD TO REPLACE THEM WITH, IE: SEMI METTALIC, CERAMIC,OR ORGANIC.CURRENTLY HAVE 118000 MILES ON ORIGINAL PADS AND AM GETTING CLOSE TO REPLACEMENT TIME,STILL HAVE A 1/4 IN LEFT BUT GETTING CLOSE. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

I recommend a ceramic pad. They cost more, but they also last longer and eliminate a lot of the dusting problem. Organic pads aren't really very good. Poor life, lots of dust.

I've been using ceramic and they are pretty good. I live overseas but buy my parts in the US for a US spec vehicle so I never want to take chances.

I just put on a set of the Wagner Edge ceramic pads on my '98 limited. They don't don't make a peep as advertised and currently have a $15 rebate.

I have used Autozone Duralast Ceramics for a long time. Never had issues. Lifetime warranty and replacement. $40.

Also, please turn off your caps. And your rims are 16 x 7.
