Disconnecting OEMbuzzer for alarm

What up. I am trying to figure out if theres a simple way to disconnect the buzzer that beeps each time you go to unlock or lock the truck? it sounds like its between the body on the front passanger side wheel well?

i know that on older models its fairly easy to disconnect if this becomes annoying and its location is passenger side firewall.... any leads would be kick ass!

Are you talking about the little beep-beep sound that beeps along with your emergency lights?

"beep beep" exactly. not sure about the emergency lights but if thats the case yes. if the location is right in the driver side fender it might be a Stealership deal that they can adj using the computer?

What's annoying about it? It's not too loud. I think the door locks are louder.

Yes, the dealer can change it through the C-BEST settings.

super easy mode < 3min.
tape it up w/ electrical and store the piezo elsewhere.

Brilliant! I just mentioned this to my gf a couple of days ago that I'd like to kill the beep and only have the lights flash when locking or unlocking. I'll be doing taking care of this tomorrow. Thanks!

Just for the future... Is there an option through the C-BEST settings at the dealer to eliminate the lights flashing when locking or unlocking? I'd just cut the wires to the lights, but then..

best 2 min mod I've ever done... only 2 min mod i guess. Hate the beep but kept the part if I ever sell.

I read today that the dealer can change the volume of the beep through the C-BEST settings. I think I'm going to get a small switch and wire it in line near the piezo so that I can shut it off for now, but still have options for the future. I have no idea what volume setting I'm at now, but I may want to try a lower setting in the future. The switch will let me test it or turn off completely.
