Disconnecting the DRL for Xenon HID conversion?

Hello,

From some of the threads I've read, I heard that you need to disconnect the daytime running lights (DRL) on the 3rd gen T4Rs when installing an HID conversion kit? Does anyone know anything about this, do I really need to disconnect it? If so, how?

I just ordered a 6000k Hi/Lo kit, and will be installing it soon, and no, sorry it's not from Xenondepot.
