I did get that protection on my last set of tires on the 2001 4Runner. They offered it for $16 a tire and I said no, of course they lowered it to $10, which I knew they would and I thought to myself, why not since they are expensive tires. Well, I got a nail on the side and they replaced it. They did charge $16 for a new warranty on the new tire, I didn't argue too much.
