I might be interested. I was planning on doing the mod from scratch, but the mesh and grille alone come out to $120. Including supplies, it would easily push it close to $200.

Would it be crazy to get the base model of SRQ grille, then do the emblem and color match myself?

Yes plug and play.

I bought a grill from these guys a few years ago. Nice grill. You can most certainly do you own emblem. I'm in the process of doing my own now.

I think the part most folks get hung up on is making the actual grill. Base grill and personalizing it is what I was going to do too.

is there an aftermarket grille that is actually set farther back than flush with the headlights?

with my 4xinnovations front bumper, there is not enough space on top of the bumper for my warn winch control unit. not sure if just going flush will make enough space either.

short of that, i suppose i can always make a bracket so the control unit sits on an angle.

My question is the difference between the mesh & raptor grill. Is it solely appearance? I do like the raptor but it looks like it would restrict more air flow than mesh. It gets kind of toasty here in Vegas (125 in summer) so I don’t want to create any overheating issues.

I was really close to joining, but I'd like to see more photos of these on an otherwise stock 4Runner. Do they look good on those? I'll try to grab one on the next round.
