DISCOVERED Cheap Bug Deflector

I bought this AVS Bugflector II from Amazon, open box, for $35 when there was a $10 rebate. Got the check and netted out at $25. YMMV

Cant go wrong with that price! But I'm not a fan of the tape on solution. If I can't track down an OEM I'll probably go with the weathertech for $65ish.

There's no tape on this, it installs with 4 removeable plastic body rivets inserted into existing holes on the underside front of the hood. It can come off as easy as it went on.

Oh really thats good know! The listing on ebay says "installs with 3M adhesive foam tape; no drilling required for a custom fit"

The smoked ones look nice. But for 12 bucks I'll can manage with the clear ones...!:reddance: Prolly later I can paint it, or just leave it..

The trick to painting the clear ones is to paint the back side of it. You maintain the smooth finish visible from the front that way.

Don't know how to tell you this mate, but your bug deflectors no good. There seems to be an entire head stuck on your windshield. However it did manage to properly deflect the rest of the body of whoever you ran over, away from the windshield so there's that.

lol looks like I'll have to leave a 1 star review because it doesn't work for people!

Depends what you expect them to do

It protects the front lip of your hood from rock chips pretty well, not sure about bugstrikes - I had just as many on my windshield and the bug deflector, but the hood was clean

Yeah, I saw they are cheaper elsewhere. I was just hoping for OEM quality at a less expensive price point.
