Dishpan Trail in Lifted 4Runner

I'm going to Dishpan trail this Sunday with few of my Jeep buddies. I'm still a noob but my Jeep friends will guide me along. My question is, would fairly stock 4wd 4runner (3rd gen) with just a 3" lift kit, 32's (kd02s), and removed running boards be able to tackle this trail? I have no sliders/bumpers and no lockers.

Please let me know your inputs. :keyboard:

It depends a lot on which direction you're headed. Going from Crab Flats to Arrowhead(E2W)is easy. Going the other way(W2E)is a bit tougher... :tongue1:

Yeah, I did and it looks really challenging. My friend with Jeep says my rig is totally capable with the mods I have, but I wanted to make sure with my 4Runner bros since those Jeeps are modified with SAS with bells & whistles.

It depends a lot on which direction you're headed. Going from Crab Flats to Arrowhead(E2W)is easy. Going the other way(W2E)is a bit tougher... :tongue1:

I think we are going from Crab Flats to Arrowhead...Will check. Is that pic going the other way (W2E)? What do E, 2, and W stand for?

Ok change of plans. We are going to Holcomb Creek. Looks pretty rocky, but not as intense as Dishpan trail. lol

Lets just say your "jeep" friends may not be all that good of friends sounds more like they wanna take the noob and his 4runner along for some laughs ..im sure they "will help you out" and get you thru it ...but at what cost to you in damage.

Let's say I turned around at the back end of Holcomb because I wasn't willing to take body damage after I watched everyone smack their bumpers on something going through the gatekeeper. That's with skids and sliders and 32s.

I think the rock gardens on 3N93, especially the west end, make it a more technical trail. Other than the two waterfalls, 3N34 isn't super difficult. Besides the probability of damage due to having no armor, having open diffs means you won't be going far on the extreme off-camber sections on either trail. GL :yo:

UPDATE: Thanks to those who posted here. I ended up doing Holcomb trail starting from Hanna Flat campground side. Definitely very technical trail and pretty difficult esp those rock gardens. However, with careful tire placement, good spotter, and stacking rocks, I did manage to get through the whole thing with very minimal damage. My stock skids did take some scrapes but happy to report that there were zero body damage. I did land on top of a big ass rock on my pinch weld but no damage. I really wished I had lockers! Jeep friends were very surprised on how capable my 4runner was.:dance: Thanks again everyone.

Going DOWN Dishpan Springs isn't that difficult and there are bypasses to some of the harder stuff. Going up it will be A LOT more difficult. Going down and bypassing the worst of it pictured above makes it a moderately difficult trail with low chance of body damage ... if you know what you're doing.

It looks like you cracked your rocker panel below the drivers side rear door. Was that on this trail? SLIDERS BRO -- GET EM.

Good job Donkey! Nice pics. Especially the East and West end gatekeepers. Proving once again that 3N93 can be done with open diffs(it's a PITA tho)and a lot of stacking.

I did Holcomb and not Dishpan. Also, rocker panel isn't cracked. That black line you see is from my dog seat cover. I just closed the door with the string sticking out. Lol. Regardless, I've been on waitlist for Savage rock sliders for couple months so patiently waiting for that!

Nice Job man! I ran Dishpan in my old Tacoma (Fully locked, armor, 35's) and I wouldn't recommend it without sliders and armor underneath, and at least one locker.
