I'm using a Switchpro and Bluesea 6-circuit fuse block (for wiring organization).

One request if you decide to use the same mounting holes as the Pelfreybilt tray would be to either add some gussets to the mount, or add a "leg" that supports the tray from below to prevent flexing.

You can kind of tell from this picture, but the tray does not hold itself perfectly upright and flexes with some weight on it due to the thin sheet metal that it bolts to. So far everything is still bolted in tight but time will tell how this holds up to bumps and vibrations...


Another request would be to keep the bolts exposed on TOP of the mount rather than below. The tray that i have bolts from underneath and is a huge PITA to mount since you have to reach underneath and line everything up without dropping the bolts inside the engine bay.

A lot of people run the Bussman relay/fuse set up. The wires come out the bottom and they do make a riser to mount on, well, mounts but without it, you'd need a hole in the bottom so it fits flat.

I run nothing at the moment as I'm waiting for either a SwitchPros GB or get motivation to build my own set up.

Right now it is screwed in to fuse cover with very short self-tapping. Would love to have a better mounting situation.

I had trouble finding space and ended up making two other mounts out of starboard (one over the Aux batt and one over the stock fuse box <- not ideal). Even something with more than one level would be useful, say the 12 circuit parked on the top and space underneath to mount the in-line fuse or other component that you don't need immediate access to below. When you have a compressor mounted, then adding in the Aux air pump bracket, it limits your space when running dual batts.

Just my thoughts.

Fuse block

Hey everybody, be forewarned, this may be a stupid question. I am running the Switchpros unit and am wondering if there is any need or real benefit (other than wiring organization) to run a Blue Sea fuse block. Thanks in advance!

Shred_Head - I suggest you put some protection on those wires as they pass through the square holes in that plate. I can see that some are chafing and will eventually short out on that plate. Some type of sheathing like snake skin or spiral wrap would suffice.

Blue Sea 12 circuit, ACR, 3x mega fuses. Your timing couldn't have been better, I was hours away from pulling the trigger on the pelfreybilt system to clean up this travesty.

I really like your relay holders too, would be great if they could be incorporated in the mix somehow.

I used a Resettable Circuit Breaker Cooper Bussmann (100A) & a Blue Sea 5025 6 Circuit Blade Fuse Block with Cover and Negative Bus.
Fabbed a mount from some plexiglass.

I also use the Pelfreybilt mount as well. I use a blue sea 12 circuit fuse block with a blue sea circuit breaker and will be adding another one soon for my rear fuse block.

I also agree in regards to keeping the bolts exposed on top because it definitely was a PITA to install. That or have separate brackets that can install into the mounting locations first then you bolt the mounting plate to the bracket similar to how Bandi makes his air compressor mounts as seen here - http://www.toyota-4runner.org/group-buys/238647-arb-compressors-group-buy-9.html#post2724013. I'm sure with enough tinkering, you guys can probably figure it out.

I plan on upgrading my DIY relay box to a SwitchPro down the road so something to accommodate that and 2 circuit breakers would be nice!

Shhhh....don't tell the competition our ideas. Hehe.

We will be making the mother of all mounts with this one and including our PATENTED (just got word from our attorney they cleared) relay holder design.

Keep the pics and ideas coming. I will be installing the Tapatalk app on my husband's phone so he can read the suggestions.

Just be forewarned - Designing and building is his forte. Grammar, spelling, and tact (thanks to the Navy) still needs lots of improvement. Hence, he doesn't represent us in the PR sector.
