DIY cheap and easy HID projector retrofit

He used bosch e46 projectors which are used on BMWs and different projectors can be used but they fit without alot of modifications to the housing. Just make sure watever projectors u get, they have bi-xenon so u can use lows and highs. These are sold all over ebay.

Wrong this was a plug and play bi-xenon screw in projector kit. It is a lot less work than your traditional OEM projector retrofit. The actual projector I bought I no longer see on ebay as it seems they have the newer generation out. The difference seems to be the option of only 2 colors for the angels eyes instead of 7and they come with a shroud already mounted.

Ya those were the ones i was talking bout... guess i was wrong and they arent e46s. I thought they were bc thats wat miller called them.

The best projectors are muranos, I'm in the process of installing some with the philips oem bulbs and 55 watt ballasts. arty::fro:

i actually like the FX and the TL more than the muranos. as far as using the 55watt ballast they are really un neccessay and burn the refector bowls after a few months of usage making them about as bright as a 35w in the end. it really depensd on the bulbs you use as well i run the OEM Philips D2S85122+ and they are great.

I believe Rapter used the G1 ebay projectors that are not found on any car from the factory they are made to be"plug and play" easier than a true retrofit.
Also some people think the Acura TL OEM projectors are the best they are like 03 to 08 or something around there

I had a 05 TL til I sold it to buy my 2000 4Runner. The lights were very bright and I liked the color too, not too obnoxious.
