DIY Skid plate

Anyone ever made their own skid plate, im looking to design and have a local metal shop fabricate a skid plate. Im in canada so buying from the states cost a lot with shipping customs, and exchange rate so wanted to see if i could design my own. If anyone has dimensions for their skid plates that would be appreciated.

Took the words right out of my mouth! They have pretty good prices too if you have a welder. If not I'm sure the local fab shop could put it together for you in a jiffy.

I checked out the skid plates, i dont see where the welding would be required. Looks put together already

There is some welding required, mainly the gussetting/support and the front facing portion of the front skid. Shouldn’t be expensive to have a shop do it, they can probably do it in a couple hours.
